3-Day Kyusho Jitsu course
Kyusho Jitsu – The Art of Pressure Points in Martial Arts and Self-Defence
Course Purpose:
This course provides a clear, structured, and safe introduction to the use of pressure points in martial arts and self-defence.
Background:
Kyusho Jitsu is a modern Japanese term given by Hohan Soken to a system originally developed in 13th-century China. It is deeply rooted in the principles of acupuncture and the energetic practices of Chi Gung (Qigong).
The system is based on the Eastern understanding of energy flow through the meridians, Yin and Yang, and the Five Elements. At the same time, it can also be explained through Western science, particularly in relation to how the nervous system functions.
Kyusho Jitsu vs. Dim Mak:
While both systems use pressure points, the main difference lies in the method of activation. Dim Mak primarily employs the energetic release of kinetic power (Fa Jin), derived from Chi Gung. Kyusho Jitsu, on the other hand, emphasizes practical application and anatomical understanding.
Both the Eastern energetic and Western physiological approaches will be explored during this course.

Why a Dan grade course?
Our Kyusho Jitsu course and Dim Mak courses brings people up to Black Belt level in Kyusho Jitsu and Dim Mak after a grading. In both courses there is a lot of theory, for example about how we look at it from an Asian point of view, but also from a Western mind point of view.
All the participants, who completed both courses, have been using both Kyusho Jitsu and Dim Mak in their own discipline.
We have a syllabus for Kyusho Jitsu and Dim Mak for Aikido, Ju Jitsu, Karate, Tae Kwondo, Aiki Jujitsu, Aikibudo, Hapkido etc.
After achieving their 1st Dan in our system, there isn’t much progress in the system.
